On Campus Jobs
On-campus jobs employ student employees in hourly, part-time roles across Texas Tech University. These jobs range from a variety of positions and allow students an opportunity to gain various skills. On-campus student employees may work up to 20 hours per week, depending on the employers availability. There are on-campus jobs that are 鈥楽tudent Hourly鈥� positions and others that are 鈥楩ederal Work Study鈥� positions. Not all on-campus jobs require a student to be eligible for federal work study (FWS). Federal Work Study eligibility is determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Off Campus Jobs
Off-campus jobs employ students in part-time positions in companies that are in the greater Lubbock area. These positions are directly employed with each individual company. Texas Tech University helps connect these employers with students through the Red Raider Employment Center.
Internships
Internships allow students to gain experience and skills in their field of interest with a company or organization. Internships that are held during the academic year and are usually part-time and internships that are held in the summer are typically full-time opportunities.
