Patrick Kramer Named Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement

Kramer鈥檚 experience as a seasoned fundraising professional spans nearly 25 years.

has been named vice chancellor for of the 麻豆天狼副利院 and chief operating officer of the , Chancellor announced Thursday. Kramer begins his appointment immediately.

Kramer spent the previous 15 months as the senior associate vice chancellor for finance, operations and services for Institutional Advancement of the TTU System.

Responsible for coordination and management of philanthropic initiatives of the TTU System, which has an endowment of more than $1.2 billion, Kramer oversees and supports the fundraising activities of the system鈥檚 four institutions: , , and . He also serves as an ex officio member of the Texas Tech Alumni Association National Board of Directors.

Since July 2016, Kramer has managed the fundraising operations for Institutional Advancement of the TTU System including endowment compliance and stewardship services, database and information services, financial services, general counsel, human resources and research and prospect management.

Prior to arriving at the TTU System, he served as the associate vice president for advancement operations at the University of Colorado from 2013 to 2016. In this position, he led fundraising programs for major gifts, gift planning, annual giving and marketing and communications during a period of growth that saw annual private contributions increase from $195 million to $375 million.

Kramer鈥檚 first position at the University of Colorado was with the CU Foundation from 2008 to 2013. He served as vice president of development for campaigns and operations where he managed operations and administration of a $1.5 billion philanthropic campaign.

Kramer began his professional career at Washington State University (WSU) where he served in development leadership roles for more than 14 years. During his time in Pullman, Kramer implemented and directed a comprehensive development program for the university, culminating in a position as associate vice president for university development and constituency programs.

Kramer earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree from WSU in psychology and business. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, Cheyenne and Jackson.

Kramer replaces Lisa Calvert who was recently named the vice president for advancement at WSU and CEO of the WSU Foundation.
